friday find: the 1,367.7 mile farm table.

Steps to making an antique purchase outside your state line:

Step 1: Convince your husband that it TOTALLY makes sense to buy a 5 1/2 foot long farm table that is over 1,300 miles away from home.

Step 2: Purchase the farm table even after your husband persists that it’s a bad idea.

Step 3: Squish the farm table into whatever vehicle you have available.

Step 4: Arrive at your in-laws home with the table and a really, REALLY big smile across your face. Tell them you need storage “for only a little while“.

Step 5: Leave farm table at in-laws house for 6 months.

Step 6: Convince your father-in-law that it’s a brilliant idea to drive the farm table 1,367.7 miles from Denver to Seattle if you’ll ride along with him.

Step 7: Repeat Step 3.

Step 8: Drive in a northwest direction for 19.5 hours.

Step 9: Do a happy dance when your “impossible” purchase lands in your living room.

Step 10: Give your husband the “I told you so” look when he comments on how much he likes the table.

bailie-bug needed to make sure the table was sturdy and safe

i’m a sucker for anything distressed and tattered…personality is a plus!

Happy Friday the 13th!

  1. Oh my! You are a girl after my own heart. This just MADE my day. And yes, let’s do coffee soon. I probably can’t do it until Sunday, but I’ll email you. 🙂
